Douglas Wayne Flowers, 38

CHESTER, Md. - Douglas Wayne Flowers of Chester, formerly of Millington, died in his home Monday, March 5, 2007. He was 38.

Douglas was born Aug. 4, 1968, in Chestertown, son of Morgan Jr. and Susan Rebecca (Powell) Flowers.

He attended Kent County High School.

Douglas loved to go fishing, duck hunting and deer hunting. He was also an avid fan of NASCAR, and his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Flowers is survived by his fiancee, Melody Anthony of Chester; one sister, Sharon Sewell and her husband Chuck of Lincoln; two nieces, Amber Chaffines and Alaina Sewell, both of Lincoln; one nephew, Shane Sewell of Lincoln; a close friend, Tony Clough Jr. of Barclay; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be Sunday at 1 p.m. in Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 370 W. Cypress St., Millington. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be held in Millington Asbury Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to the family.
