He enjoyed fishing with his best friend, Bill Dawkins.
He was an avid dancer and loved all his dancing partners.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Grahs Cox.
He is survived by three brothers, Cleatie, Warren and Lloyd Cox, all of Missouri; and his best friend, Bill Dawkins, with whom he lived.
Mr. Dawkins met Mr. Cox in Florida, gave him his address in Clayton and told him to stop by and see him. Thirty years later, he was still there.
