Dorothy Mae Caulley, 82 PLANO, Texas - Dorothy Mae Caulley, formally of Dover, passed away Monday, February 1, 2010. She was 82. She was the devoted wife of Albert Caulley, with whom she married in 1947. She was born in Sumter, S.C., the daughter of Emma Mickens Wells Helton Williams and Ben Helton. Dorothy was a very proud graduate of Mather Academy in Camden, S.C., and had attended Delaware State University for two years. Dorothy retired from Federal Civil Service after ten years of service with the Air Force. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, dancing, listening to music, and gardening. Dorothy will be dearly missed by her husband, Albert Caulley; four children, Earl Caulley, Eric "Wayne" Caulley (Patricia), Regina Caulley Gray (Darrell), and Everett "Evy" Caulley (Charmin); three grandchildren, Casey, Savannah, and Montana; two sisters, Thomasina Lurke of South Carolina and Rosalie Rose of New Jersey; in-laws, William and Mary Brown of New York, Naomi Mitchell of New York, and Alice Caulley of South Carolina; and many other relatives and friends. You are invited to attend Dorothy's viewing on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Beeson Funeral Home of Newark, 2053 Pulaski Hwy., Newark. Her funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. Online condolence may be made by visiting www.griecocares.com.
