HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP - Dorothy Henrietta Lebron, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at the Milford Hospice Center in Milford, following a brief illness. Born in Dover on July 21, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John A. Reed and Mamie Morgan Reed and the wife of the late Julio Lebron. When she was a young girl, her family moved to Hancock's Bridge, N.J. and during the time she attended Salem High School she worked at the family's delicatessen with her sisters that was also in Salem, N.J. Mrs. Lebron had been a Hopewell Township resident since 1998, and prior to that had resided in Bridgeton and Carmel, N.J. Before her retirement, she had been employed at the former Val Mode Lingerie Company and the former M.C. Schrank Company both in Bridgeton, N.J. for 45 years. An active member of First Baptist Church in Bridgeton, she served as a Deaconess, was a member of the Care Committee and was chairperson of the Sunshine Committee. She loved sewing, cooking and helping others in any way she could. She also enjoyed going to Delaware to be with her daughter, son in law and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara A. Dalton and her husband, Nicholas 'Larry' Dalton of Houston, Del.; three grandchildren, Lenwood Johnson, Jr. of Felton, Van Johnson of Lewes and Suzette Freeman of Smyrna; nine grandchildren; and a very special niece, Lorraine Johnson who watched out for her along with many other nieces and nephews whom she loved. She was preceded by two brothers, John A. Reed, Jr. and Francis C. Reed; four sisters, Edith Reed, Gladys Balentine, Ola Ridgway and Rose Reed; three grandchildren, Don T. Johnson, Peggy L. Pleasanton and Nathan W. Johnson. Friends will be received at 11 a.m., at the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township, NJ 08302, on Saturday Aug. 11, 2012. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012.
