Dorothy F. Schreppler, 97
DOVER - Dorothy F. Schreppler of Dover died peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, April 30, 2007, in Westminster Village, Dover. She was 97.
Mrs. Schreppler was born Oct. 31, 1909, in Mahanoy City, Pa. to the late Roy Fischer and Rae Main Fischer.
She graduated from Methodist Episcopal Hospital of Nursing in Philadelphia in 1931, and moved to Dover to begin her nursing career at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital.
She married Joseph Schreppler in 1938. In 1941, they moved to a farm west of Wyoming, Del., and then in 1951 to a farm near Magnolia, where she resided until several years ago.
She was a member of Magnolia United Methodist Church since 1957, where she served faithfully in many capacities.
Mrs. Schreppler enjoyed sewing, gardening and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Schreppler, in 1987.
She is survived by her only son, Paul Schreppler and his wife, Linda of Magnolia; one granddaughter, Lisa Donaldson and her husband, Neal of Newark; and two great-granddaughters, Sarah and Natalie.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday in Magnolia United Methodist Church, 39 N. Main St., Magnolia where friends may call one hour prior.
Interment will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Magnolia United Methodist Church, 39 N. Main St., Magnolia, DE 19962.
