Dorothy B. Miller, 90 WILMINGTON - Dorothy B. Miller, of Wilmington, went to be with the Lord as she was surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, August 14, 2008. She was 90. Mrs. Miller was born in Alum Creek, W. Va., on April 8, 1918, daughter of the late Otis and Clyda (Turley) Midkiff. She was employed as a cashier with Acme Markets and retired in 1980 after 25 years of dedicated service. Mrs. Miller was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church and was actively involved in many church events and organizations, including the SAM Club and the AWANA Club. She also enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers from various places around the world. Her husband, Leonard C. Miller, passed away in 1969. She was also predeceased by her son, Robert Hager. Mrs. Miller is survived by her children, Claude Hager and his wife Nancy, Brenda Minker and her husband Jim and Linda May and her husband Fred; daughter-in-law, Patsy Hager. She is also survived by her children, Robert Miller and his wife Peg, Loretta Rigdon and Janet Clark and her husband Larry, 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition, Mrs. Miller is survived by her brother, Cleo Midkiff and his wife Sue. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd, Pike Creek. Burial will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery. Family and friends my visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. Instead of flowers, please make donations in memory of Mrs. Miller to her church, Faith Baptist Church, 4210 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808.
