Doris Wootten, 83

FELTON - Doris Elizabeth Wootten, of Felton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at Country Rest Home, Greenwood. She was 83. Mrs. Wootten was born the daughter of the late Clark and Leona (Marvel) Woodward. Mrs. Wootten worked as a nurses aid at Stockley Center for eight years. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Georgetown. She enjoyed doing crafts, but mostly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 20 years, Wallace Wootten; a brother, Kenneth Woodward; and a sister, Virginia McClyments. She is survived by a son, Dennis Ninzeheltzer of Willards, Md.; a daughter, Sandra L. Wootten of Harrington; a son, Larry James Ninzeheltzer of Bishipville, Md.; a brother, Marvel Woodward of Ridgely, Md.; three grandchildren, Erin Elizabeth McCarthy of Milton, Gretchen Garms of Milton and Brittany Ninzeheltzer of Willards; and two great-grandchildren, Luke McCarthy and London Garms. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front St., Milford. Burial will be at St. John's United Methodist Church, Georgetown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 625, Georgetown, DE 19947; or Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
