Doris (Revel) Slate, 58

PARSONSBURG, Md. - Doris (Revel) Slate, of Parsonsburg, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at home. She was 58.

Mrs. Slate was born July 2, 1949, in Milford, Del., daughter of the late Charles Walter and Rhoda (Wootten) Revel.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Slate was a member of Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, Salisbury.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and wife, and she also loved her animals.

Mrs. Slate is survived by her husband of 39 years, Burley W. Slate; two sons, Bruce Slate and his wife Tiffany of Delmar and Wayne Slate and his wife Sherry of Salisbury; two brothers, Charles R. Revel and his wife Peggy of Fruitland and John D. and his wife Linda of Salisbury; and two grandchildren, Wayne Slate Jr. and Lillie Slate.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call at noon.

The Rev. Bruce LeCates will officiate.

Burial will be in Millsboro, Del.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that, in order to defray funeral and other expenses, donations be made to Watson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 125, Millsboro, DE 19966.
