Doris Rachel Moffett

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Doris Rachel Moffett passed away on June 22, 2018 in Whispering Pines, Rock Hall, Md.
Mrs. Moffett was born on June 11, 1922 in Fairlee, Md., daughter of the late Reginald and Martha Cheezum Dulin. She was a lifetime resident of Kent County where she helped her husband with daily farming duties on Alfalfa Dell Farm. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and flower gardening. Mrs. Moffett was a volunteer for the Red Cross at the hospital.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, George Robert Moffett, Sr.; two sons, Walter 'Feetsie' Moffett and George Robert Moffett, Jr.; daughters-in-law, Esther Moffett and Patsy Moffett; and siblings, William Kent Dulin, Wilbur C. Dulin, Reginald P. Dulin, Jr. and Virginia Debnam.
Mrs. Moffett is survived by her sons, William F. Moffett DVM of Dover and Michael I. Moffett and wife Diane of Worton, Md.; daughter-in-law, Hazel Moffett of Chestertown; brother, Charles 'Quent' Dulin of Chestertown; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-greatgrandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, Md. where funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Chester Cemetery, Chestertown, Md.
