LEWES - Doris Mae (Webb) Davis of Lewes died Sunday, April 15, 2007, in Harbor Healthcare Center, Lewes, surrounded by her family. She was 74.
Mrs. Davis was born July 4, 1932, in Rehoboth Beach, daughter of the late John H. and Ruth "Maise" (Biederman) Webb.
She was a 1949 graduate of Rehoboth High School.
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker.
She loved egg crafting, needle point and crocheting. She also enjoyed attending tournaments at Midway Slots in Harrington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Janet (Webb) Tagtmeier; and a brother, Charles Jay Webb.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, James T. Davis of Lewes; three sons and three daughters-in-law, Richard H. and Susan Lodge Ieppert of Lewes, James T. Jr. and Theresa A. Davis of Lewes, Todd W. and Connie Davis of Salida, Colo.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Joyce A. and Joseph Pennucci of Milton and Kimberly Mae Davis Pezely of Lewes; two sisters, Kathleen Hall of Tampa, Fla., and Joan Martin of Lewes; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery South, Millsboro.
Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Melson Funeral Services on Long Neck Road, Long Neck.
