Donald Lee Elliott, 74
LAUREL - Donald Lee Elliott of Laurel went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. He was 74.
Fondly known as "Slim," he was born in Salisbury, Md., son of the late Guley and Lillie Elliott.
Mr. Elliott was a retired custodian for the Board of Education in Salisbury.
He was well known for his hobby of selling camper tops at his home on Laurel Road.
Mr. Elliott loved his beagles and fishing with his family.
He was a member of Christ Evangelistic Church in Laurel.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia A Elliott.
Mr. Elliott is survived by his daughters, Lisa Palmer of Laurel and Ellen Stokes and her husband, E. Harrell of Poquoson, Va.; a brother of heart, John Q. Higgins of Laurel; his aunt, Elizabeth Gangler of Georgia; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Christ Evangelistic Church, Camp Road, Laurel, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
The Rev. Roland Tice will officiate.
Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
