Donald L. Burris

DOVER - Donald L. Burris, a longtime resident of Luther towers in Dover, passed away peacefully Nov. 28, 2016 at the Milford Center, Milford after a short illness. Born in Wilmington, Donald was the son of the late Cecil and Eunice Burris, to whom he was a loving and dedicated caregiver. He was predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Eunice Burris; and his brothers, Richard Burris and Roger Burris. Donald will be dearly missed by his sister, Elizabeth Garwood, and her husband Paul; sisters-in-law, Agnes Burris and Hazel Burris; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Center, 2nd Floor, Newark, DE 19711. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfunerahome.com.
