Donald Franklin Savage

Donald Franklin Savage, 65

MILLINGTON, Md. - Donald Franklin Savage of Millington died Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, in the Chester River Hospital Center, Chestertown. He was 65.

Mr. Savage was born in Terre Haute, Ind., son of the late Roger and Rose (McNeill) Savage.

He was an inspector for Prince George's County, Md., until his retirement in the late 1990s.

Mr. Savage was a life master bridge player and loved the game.

He was also an avid fisherman.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Savage was preceded in death by one brother, James Savage; and a stepdaughter, Karen Shortall.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Shelton) Savage; one brother, John Savage and his wife Emily of Grayson, Ga.; a stepson, Kevin E. Shortall of Elkridge; and a nephew, Thomas Savage, also of Grayson.

Services will be private.

The family suggests contributions in his memory to the Calvary-Asbury United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 202, Sudlersville, MD 21668; or the Chester River Hospital, 100 Brown St., Chestertown, MD 21620.
