SMYRNA - Donald C. Smith, 61, of Smyrna, passed away suddenly March 19, 2012. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and was the son of the late Van and Genevieve Smith. He served his country proudly in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon N. Cox; his son-in-law, Timothy Cox; his grandson, Tanner Cox; and his devoted companion of 35 years, Denise Shea. Memorial Services will be 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna.
