DOVER - Diane Elizabeth McNamara passed away, Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Caton Merchant House in Manassas, Va.
Mrs. McNamara was born April 4, 1944, in Wilmington, Delaware to the late William Breslin and Anne Gula Breslin.
Raised and married in Wilmington, Del., she worked for Kent County Delaware Prothonotary Office then Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control - Delaware State Parks, retiring after nearly 30 years as the Senior Secretary. Mrs. McNamara enjoyed reading, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, traveling, her girl's night out, but especially spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert John (Jack) McNamara; and her brother, Bill Breslin.
She is survived by her son, Brian McNamara and his wife Carole of Chantilly, Va.; daughter, Amy Weber and her husband Keith of Dover; siblings, Patricia Saunders and her husband Cliff of Texas, Bob Breslin and his wife Marion of Texas and Terry Breslin and his wife Donna of Delaware; grandchildren, Keely and Lance Weber, Danny (Rebekah) and Connor McNamara; great granddaughter, Ellie Worden.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, October 8, 2021, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Services will be live streamed on Torbert Funeral Chapel's https://www.torbertfuneral.com/
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Capital Caring Headquarters, 3180 Fairview Park Drive, Suite 500, Falls Church, VA 22042, 703-485-8949 (Office).
