Diana Laverna Greene, 54

EASTON, Md. - Diana Laverna Greene of Easton, Md., departed this life on Friday April 20, 2007, at Easton Memorial Hospital. She was 54.

She was born July 5, 1952, in South Hill, Va., and was the daughter of the late Eva Bell Watkins and Nettie Reddish.

Diana Greene received her education at Moton High. She was a hard worker, working most of her life at Easton Memorial and later started working as a private housekeeper to support her loving family.

Diana was a woman with a heart of gold, touching everyone who knew her. She was always highly spoken of which brings to our hearts her favorite verse, Amazing Grace.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two grandchildren, Anthony Watkins Jr. and Antowine Watkins; one sister, Edith Watkins; one uncle, Charlie Watkins; one aunt, Ruth Wynn; one nephew, Odell Smith; one cousin, Priscella Wynn.

She is survived by one son, Anthony L. Watkins Sr.; one daughter, Lisa M. Watkins, both of Easton, Md.; special friend, Larry Greene; three sisters, Natalie Gregory of South Hill, Va., Lorraine Standford and her husband, Gene of Trappe, Md., Ann Watkins of Easton, Md.; four brothers; Charles Watkins of Easton, Md., Ray Watkins of South Hill, Va., David Watkins of Easton, Md. John Lee Tisdale of South Hill, Va.; and six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. Special thanks to Debbie Standford, Salinia and Petrula Watkins

Viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Easton, Md. Services will be 7 p.m. Friday at Bethel AME Church in Easton, Md. where friends may view two hours prior.

Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery in Trappe, Md.
