DeWitt R. Wolfe

DAGSBORO - DeWitt R. Wolfe died on Apr. 28, 2017, at 9 p.m. He was born in Rehoboth Beach on Jul. 11, 1929, to the late Edward and Lucinda Johnson Wolfe. He lived in Clarksville for twenty years, and moved to Dagsboro in 1982. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War. He retired from Local 2012 as a carpenter after serving with them for 25 years.
He had a love for working in his garden and workshop, or out on the boat fishing. His true love was spending time with his wife of 61 years and his family.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Arneva M. Wolfe; three daughters, Deborah L. Hall (Clay A.), of Dagsboro; Joyce A. Wooters (Glenn), of Greenwood; and Rita H. Kucek, (Michael), of Dover. Also survived by his grandchildren, Holly Hammond (Brandon), of Georgetown, Melissa Collins (J.D. Morrill), of Greenwood, Cole Hall, of Dagsboro, Brandon Kucek, of Milford, Ryan Kucek, of Dover, and Matt Wooters, of Greenwood; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Wooters, of Georgetown, Payton and Braelyn Morrill, of Greenwood, Isabella and Colton Hall, of Dagsboro.
DeWitt was preceded by three brothers, Edward, Russell, and Jack Wolfe; and a sister, Genevieve.
A funeral service and Celebration of His Life will be held on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017 at 12 p.m. at the Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro. Friends may call for viewing and visitation at 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to the service. Pastor Clifton Toomey will officiate.
