Delvina Myers, 89

MILFORD - Delvina Myers of Milford, formerly of Pawtucket, R.I., passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, in Harbor Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Lewes. She was 89.

Mrs. Myers was born in East Providence, R.I. on March 5, 1918, daughter of the late Antonio F. Martins and Umbelina (Botelho) Martins.

She was a dietitian and cook for 22 years with Miriam Hospital in Rhode Island.

Mrs. Myers enjoyed crocheting, taking care of her pets and going to the slots.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Edward Medeiros, Manuel Medeiros and an infant son, Edward Medeiros.

She is survived by four children, Frank Silva Jr. and his wife Martha, Norma Zaferis, Joseph Medeiros and his wife Mary and John Medeiros; 21 grandchildren, Lucas, Ronald, Martha Ann, Denise, Eddy, Dean, Manuel, Tracy, Mathew, Jonathon, Francis, Nicholas, Jason, John, Helen, Michael, Gina, Joseph, Dawn, Michael, Stephen; 29 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services and burial will be private.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Delvina's name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.

Arrangements by the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services.
