Della Lou Husfelt

Henderson - Della Lou Husfelt passed away on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015 at Kent General Hospital, Dover Del. She was born June 23, 1934 to the late Mary Dhue Edge and Robert Samuel Edge, in Goldsboro, Md. Della worked for Playtex and was an assistant teacher at Sudlersville Elementary. She was also a lifetime PTA member. Della owned and operated Mickey's Place for over 40 years and was known to help anyone she could. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Merritt Brice Husfelt ("Doc"). She is survived by her sons, Kevin Husfelt & George Dean both of Dover Del., Jay Husfelt of Sudlersville and Gale Dean of Hartley Del.; daughter, Linda Walls of Ridgely; brother, Donald Edge of Bridgeville Del.; sister, Mary Weist of N.C.; Two special friends, Sandy Porter and Vivian Garnett; Four grandchildren and Three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Fleegle and Helfenbein funeral home, Greensboro Md. Burial will be private.
