FELTON - Deborah L. Hughes, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 55. She was born on Jan. 15, 1956, in Chillicothe, Mo., daughter of the late Oren Ayers and Mildred King. Deborah enjoyed life as a homemaker. Her hobbies included reading, socializing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God. Deborah is preceded in death by her parents and a stepbrother, James King. She is survived by her husband of 36 years Ralph Hughes; a daughter, Alysia Chambers of Georgetown; a son, Malcolm Hughes of Newark; siblings, Carolyn Kerstetter, David King, Sandy Mattlock, Raymond King, Anita Trump, Wilma King, and Edward King; grandchildren, Mason Chambers, Blake Chambers, Makayla Chambers; and grandson to be, Chase Hughes. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather one hour earlier. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Susan Cohan Colon Cancer Foundation, Inc., 201 North Charles Street, Suite 2404, Baltimore, MD 21201.
