After graduating from Milford Senior High School, David worked for Warfel Construction. He was a hardworking construction worker who was dependable and reliable. During the Cold War, David enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served for three years, did one tour in Germany, witnessed the collapse of the Berlin Wall, and was honored with the Army Achievement Medal. As a Deportation Officer, he had the pleasure of working in three districts: San Francisco, Miami, and Louisville.
Upon retirement, David retired to his residence located in the countryside of rural Bedford, Kentucky. Here he enjoyed beautiful views of the Ohio River Valley, and the peacefulness and tranquility of the nature that surrounded him.
