David Lee Krise, 64

HARTLY - David Lee Krise of Hartly passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at his home. He was 64.

David was born and raised in Belva, W.Va., prior to moving to Delaware.

He retired from VPI, where he worked for more than 30 years as a quality control technician.

David was a member of the Smyrna-Clayton Moose Lodge 2046.

He enjoyed shooting pool on many APA leagues, entertaining family and friends, visiting the park to feed squirrels and building his invention - the Hoodie Wall Lamp.

David is survived by a son, Jammie Krise; three daughters, Vanessa Thompson, Belinda Hestra and Karen Krise; eight grandchildren, Christopher Thompson, Patricia Raybuck, Aaron Robinson, David Hestra Jr., Derek Hestra, Jammie Krise Jr., Amie Krise and Ethan Hill; a brother, Gene Phillips; a sister, Jane Riley; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Middletown Baptist Church, 419 Armstrong Corner Road, Middletown, where a viewing will be one hour prior.

Interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery, near Port Penn.
