VIOLA - David A. Melvin, born June 26, 1954 passed away July 19, 2018. He was born in Lewes to the late Shirley and the late Clayton C. Melvin.
He attended Caesar Rodney High School, later joined the Army. Dave was a roofer and contractor for over 40 years. Dave was Distribution Manager at Independent Newspapers until 2014.
He is survived by his loving wife, Annie; step-son, William A. Williams and fiancé, Rebecca D. Adams; sons, D.C. and D.J. Melvin. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Marie; brother, Charlie. He is also survived by best friend, Bill Richardson.
He was a Lifetime Member of Walter L. Fox Post 2, member of 40/8 Org., member of the Camden Moose Lodge.
A Celebration of Life was held by the American Legion on July 28, 2018.
