BENSON, Ariz. - Dallas Lee Hearn of Benson died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, in Tucson.
Mr. Hearn was born in Delmar, Del. on Feb. 7, 1928.
He worked at a mortuary before serving in the military as a medic.
After military service he worked as an orderly and later in the construction field.
Mr. Hearn was also co-owner of a hardware store in Florida with his father, Horace.
After moving to Benson in 1961, he founded his own construction business, Pioneer Construction.
Mr. Hearn retired in 1988 and spent time at his beach home in Kino Bay, Mexico.
He is a former member of the Masonic Lodge and former president of Rotary International.
Mr. Hearn was preceded in death by a brother, Irvin Hearn; his parents, Horace and Anna Hearn; one child; and one grandchild.
He is survived by his siblings, Elsie Lowe of Laurel, Del., Richard Hearn of Delmar, Beatrice Williams of Salisbury, Md., Allen Hearn of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and Brenda Chaltham of Salisbury; five children; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
