DOVER - D. William Spivey passed away peacefully at his home in Voshell Cove on Nov. 19, 2018.
D. William was born in Seattle, Washington on April 12, 1944 to the late Dolphus Spivey and Clara May Wright Spivey.
He was predeceased by his son, William E. Spivey; and by his sisters, Yuvon Clark, and Terry Spivey.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marlene Spivey; five children, Shelley Neale, Billy Lardi, Shari Lawrence, Tammie Winter, and Yvonne Husfelt; 13 grandkids; and three great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sisters, Violet Tysinger (Andy), Tamara Annis (Ronnie); and brother, Frankie Spivey (Liana); his niece, Sara B. DiLorenzo; and plenty of other nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
William enjoyed spending time with family and friends, eating watermelon with garlic salt, and eating boiled peanuts.
He worked as an Iron Worker for 35 years.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
