SMYRNA - Clifton E. Carrow, of Smyrna, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2008, in Green Valley Pavilion, Smyrna. He was 84.
Mr. Carrow was born April 20, 1923, son of the late Frank E. and Estella (Wright) Carrow.
Mr. Carrow worked in the body shop of General Motors in Wilmington for several years before retirement.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 30 in Wilmington Manor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Ford Carrow, in 1996; a brother, James Carrow; and a sister, Janice Schmidt.
He is survived by a sister, Genevieve Frazee of Smyrna; a stepson, Henry R. Ford Sr. of Townsend; and a special niece, Michele Kochis.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna.
