Cleatus Elwood Steen, 74
GREENWOOD - Cleatus Elwood Steen of Greenwood died Thursday, July 19, 2007, in Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Md. He was 74.
He was born Aug. 25, 1932, near Bridgeville, the son of the late Della Mae Anderson and Harry Thomas Steen.
Mr. Steen attended Bridgeville schools.
He worked for Newtons and later operated heavy equipment for Soil Conseveration.
Mr. Steen was also an employee for the state of Delaware.
In 1972, he went into business for himself as a poultry man.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Steen was also preceded in death by four brothers, Clifford Steen, Harrison Steen, Edward Steen and Virgil Steen; and three sisters, Elizabeth Tribbit, Margaret Tribbit and Helen Passwaters.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Leona Biddle Steen; and a sister, Mildred Steen Trice of Federalsburg, Md.; a very close nephew, Harry "Butch" Tribbit of Bridgeville; and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Front & King streets, Seaford, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
