Claude Henry departed this life on Friday May 21, 2021 in Seaford Delaware Hospital. He was born April 22, 1951 in Lakeland, Fla. to the late Willie Lee Swain and Minnie Grizzle.
His Father and grandmother relocated to Camden, Del. along with Claude and three other siblings in the 1960s. Claude attended Caesar Rodney School District and graduated from CR High School in Camden Delaware.
After graduation he trained and worked for Poly-tech School for many years as a Grounds Keeper. Claude also held various jobs throughout Delaware until he became handicap through illness in 2012.
In 1970 Claude and Dorothy Abraham were joined together in Holy Matrimony. In 1971 they surrendered their lives to Christ and became members of Greater Life Auditorium in Dover, Del. under the leadership of Bishop James Ashley Sr. where he was trained and served as a Deacon. He also accepted the call to preach the gospel and was trained to, "Rightly Divide The Word of Truth" taught by Bishop John T. Graham from United Pentecostal Ministry in Wilmington, Delaware.
Claude is preceded in death by his Father-Willie Lee Swain, Mother-Minnie Grizzle, His brother-Willie Swain, and his Grandmother-Elizabeth Roberts.
He leaves to watch over (1) daughter-Patricia Henry-Fitchett (Webster Fitchett) of Salisbury, Md, (2) sons- Anthony C. Henry (Aja) of Dover, Del., Michael L. Henry (Sabrina Henry), (5) sisters, Gloria Blocker and Dorothy Nelson of Dover, Del., Minnie Pearl Edwards of New Jersey, Dorin and Cynthia Swain of Georgia, (9) grandchildren. Kristina of Charlotte, South Carolina, Jessica of Millsboro, Del., Jermall and John of Salisbury, Md, Marquis and Zayden of Milford, Del., Antayziah, Aniya, Actavia and Alexus all of Dover, Del., (1) great-grand, Giannia of Milford, Del. He also leaves a host of nieces and nephews.
