Clara L. Wutka, 93

DOVER - Clara L. Wutka, of Dover, passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, in her son's home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 93. She was born on Oct. 20, 1915, in Plainfield, N.J., daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Crocker) Whatley. Clara was a homemaker and enjoyed knitting, reading, crossword puzzles and bingo. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph T. Wutka Sr.; and a son, Thomas E. Wutka. She is survived by a son, Joseph T. Wutka Jr. and his wife Joan C. Wutka of Camden; daughter-in-law, Joann Wutka of Waldorf, Md.; grandsons, Thomas J. Wutka and his wife Kelly of Dover, Edward Wutka of Saratoga, N.Y., Sean P. Wutka and his wife Corrie of Waldorf, Christian M. Wutka and his fiancée Laura Pierce of Waldorf, and Evon A. Wutka of Camden; granddaughter, Jennifer R. Wutka and her fiancé Matthew Lindell of Dover; great-grandsons, Justin R. Wutka and Kyle J. Wutka, both of Dover, Devin Wutka of Saratoga, N.Y., and Patrick T. Wutka of Waldorf; sister-in-law, Eileen Whatley of Dunellen, N.J.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Services will be noon Saturday at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call one hour earlier. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Compassionate Care Hospice, 623 West Newport Pike, Wilmington, DE 19804.
