Christopher E. Kay

LEWES - Christopher E. "Goose" Kay, of Lewes, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Beebe Medical Center. He was 42. Christopher was born in Newark, N.J. to the late Patrick E. and Roseanne (Castle) Kay. Goose was very active with his children's life and activities. He loved to practice softball with his daughter, and coached with the Georgetown Little League. Goose enjoyed T.V. time with his kids, and vacations with family and friends. He graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science in 1993. Goose was on the State Board of Physical Therapy. He was also an avid NY Yankees fan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Charles Baker. He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Baker) Kay; his three children, Jared C., Erin R., and Colin P. Kay; his sister, Ann-Marie and her husband Joe Aguiar S. Plainfield of N.J.; his mother-in-law, Janie Baker of Georgetown; his sister-in-laws, Karen and Scott Willey of Millsboro, Kim and John Hudson Irmo of S.C.; and nieces and nephews, Guiliana, Ryan, and Rachel Aguiar, Ben Willey, and Daniel and Sarah Hudson. Funeral Services will be 3 p.m., Monday, May 21, 2012 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Georgetown. Flowers accepted or contributions may be made to Kay Trust Fund.
