MAGNOLIA, DE - Christina Botev passed away, Monday, September 18, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington.
Mrs. Botev was born December 22, 1939 in Greece to the late George and Zabeta Tzivanis. At 23 years old she and her husband moved to New Jersey and lived there until moving to Delaware in 2000 following their retirement.
She had worked for PSE&G for 25 years. Mrs. Botev volunteered for Bayhealth Hospital, Meals on Wheels, and a lot of other organizations. She was a very generous, caring person and would help her friends in every way she could. Mrs. Botev was a member of the The Red Hats Society and St. Andrew Antiochian Orthodox Christian Mission in Lewes, DE.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Blagoi Botev; and her bothers and sisters.
She is survived by her nieces, Georgia Bouri and her husband Dimitris Ioannou of Greece and Elizabeth Bouri DeBotton and her husband Leonard DeBotton of New Jersey; great nieces, Ariadni and Maria Ioannou.
Funeral services will be held 8:30 AM, today September 22, 2023 at St. Andrews Antiochian Orthodox Christian Mission, 33384 Mackenzie Way, Lewes, DE. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Bayhealth Cancer Center, Kent Campus.
