GEORGETOWN - Chester W. Wootten Jr. of Georgetown Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, in Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford. He was 76.
Chester retired from Townsend's Inc. as a chick delivery driver.
He loved harness horses and loved to attend horse races. He was a very likeable person.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester W. Wootten Sr. and Daisey Hudson Wootten.
He is survived by his wife, Clara S. Wootten; stepchildren, Carol Layton, Caroline McCray, Carlton Ray Jr., Clara Lee Layton, and Charlotte Kowalski; brother, Jack Wootten of Greenwood; sisters, Gurtrude Bradford of Salisbury, Md., Rada Lewis of Laurel, Anna Lee Robinson and husband Clarence of Bethel; and 22 nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call one hour prior.
Instead of flowers, contributions may be to the American Diabetes Association, 100 West Street Suite 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801; or American Heart Association, 20771 Professional Park Blvd., Georgetown, DE 19947.
Interment will be in Line United Methodist Church Cemetery Whitesville.
