MILFORD - Charlotte V. Reid passed away at Christiana Medical Center on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016. She was born and reared in Milford, to the late Lillian (Donovan) and Franklin H. Vincent, Jr. on Aug. 29, 1948. In the early 70's, Charlotte became a beautician and opened her own shop, Charming Styles Beauty Salon. She enjoyed NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon, shopping, traveling, cooking, spending time with her beloved family, gardening, a past member of the Corvette club, and had a fond admiration of Schnauzers. She also was an avid supporter of the Susan G. Komen 3Day Breast Cancer walk; specifically with The Ta-Ta Sisterhood Cheering Station. In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her son, Richard Dix, Jr. Charlotte is survived by her husband, William 'Bill' Reid; daughters, Amanda Reid (Ralph Mercado) and Theresa Reid; grandchildren, Westley Carlson, Shannah Ortiz (with whom she lived and reared), Aiden Daly, Adlih Mercado; adopted grandchildren, Hannah and Sarah Hastings; sister, Sandra Lee Laws and her husband James; and her beloved pet birds, Blu and Ticker. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, DE at 1 p.m., with a time of visitation beginning at 11 am. Interment will be at Milford Community Cemetery.
