Charlotte E. McAllister, 78

DENTON, Md. - Charlotte E. McAllister, of Denton, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at the Caroline Nursing Home. She was 78.

Born in Salisbury, Miss McAllister was the daughter of the late James Herbert McAllister and Pearl Emily Laramore McAllister.

She lived her entire life in Denton and was a 1946 graduate of Caroline High School. She graduated from Salisbury State Teacher's College.

Miss McAllister taught elementary school in Federalsburg for two years before teaching in Denton. She retired July 1, 1986, after 36 years.

She was a member of the Retired Teacher's Association and the St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Denton.

Miss McAllister is survived by her cousins, Mary Conner, Carol Shuster, Nancy Maldonado, Susie Murdoch, Arleen Neal, Sandy Lee, Donald Laramore, Ellie Miller, Caroline Mack, Tommy Laramore and Jean Laramore.

A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Moore Funeral Home, 12 S. Second St., Denton, where friends may call one hour prior.

The interment will follow in the Denton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, send memorial donations to the St. Luke's United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 66, Denton, MD 21629.
