Warrington, 72 DOVER - Charles Robert "Bob" Warrington, of Dover, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at Kent General Hospital. He was 72. He was born Dec. 3, 1938, in Dover. Mr. Warrington served 41 years in the Army National Guard obtaining the rank of Sgt. Major before retiring in 1995. He enjoyed salt water fishing, sports, especially football on all levels, college and professional, and was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan. Mr. Warrington loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hilda Violet Balderson, and step-father, George Balderson; and his father-in-law, Lee Leslie. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jean Helen Warrington of Dover; daughter, Lisa Martino and her husband Phillip of Dover; brother, Everett "Sonny" Warrington and his wife Nora of St. Augustine, Fla.; sister, Kay Peer and her husband John of Leipsic; grandchildren, Hillary, Nicholas and Heather Martino; goddaughter, Roberta Littlefield and her husband Jon of Wyoming; five nephews; and his mother-in-law, Mary Leslie of Dover. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., today, Oct. 7, 2011, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way #205, New Castle, DE 19720-1633. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
