Charles R. Spragg of Dover passed away, Sept 4, 2022 at Resorts at Chester River Manor Corp. Chestertown, MD.
Mr. Spragg was born January 18, 1943, in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania to the late Robert Earl Spragg and Nellie Kerr Spragg. Graduated from West Greene High School and Penn State University with a BS in Health and Phys Ed.
He served in the United States Air Force for 12 years stationed in Germany, Pentagon, Guam and Scott AFB. After his military career he worked Civil Service as Chief of M.W.R. at Dover AFB (Moral, Welfare and Recreation). Mr. Spragg enjoyed working in his yard, boating and water skiing both in the Chester River, MD and Monongahela River in PA. He was a member of the Whatcoat United Methodist Church in Camden.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Alfretta.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol Blair Spragg, of Dover; daughters, Deborah L. Hicks of Chugiak, Alaska and Cynthia L. Churchill and her husband Barry of Ft. Fairfield, Maine; grandchildren, Trevor and Ashley Hicks, Courtney and Tyler Churchill and his wife Shyla; great grandchildren, Levi and Kohlson Churchill.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Veterans Home in Milford, DE.
