Charles R. 'Bud' Hill, 97

SMYRNA - Charles R. "Bud" Hill, of Smyrna, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, in Broadmeadow Nursing Home, Middletown. He was 97.

Mr. Hill was born April 2, 1910, in Trenton, N.J., the son of the late Melvin S. and Rose Hill.

Mr. Hill worked as a chauffeur for Robert Wood Johnson in Princeton, N.J., for several years before retirement.

He was a member of the Gideon's International.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella Poole Hill.

He is survived by two sons, William C. Hill of Magnolia, and Clair Hill of Altoona, Wis.; a daughter, Lois Willis of Smyrna; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

There will be a visitation from 4-7 p.m. Monday in Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, N.J.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Gideon's International Central Delaware Camp, P.O. Box 622, Dover, DE 19903.
