HARRINGTON - Charles "Buddy" Guinn of Harrington, passed on May 12, 2016 at home. He was born November 15, 1938 to the Late Homer Wade and Hazel Guinn. He was predeceased in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Nancy Lou Guinn; eldest daughter, Michelle Guinn Heslop; and brother, Wade Guinn. After serving his country proudly in the US Marine Corps, Buddy went to work for PEPCO in the Transformer Test and Distribution shop where he was known to his coworkers as "Chuck" and where he retired as a general foreman after 35 years. He was a Mr. Fix-it and loved keeping his home, cars and equipment in tiptop shape. If he couldn't fix it, you probably needed to replace it. He loved cheering for the Washington Redskins, discussing politics, telling stories, jokes and spending time with his family and pets. He will be dearly missed by his surviving family, daughter, Deb Harbaugh (Alan) of Newark, Del.; his four grandchildren, Sarah, Kay, Emma and Alana; as well as his younger brother, Thomas D. Guinn of Woodstock, Va.; and many wonderful nieces and nephews that were like children to him. Graveside service will be 12 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. Arrangements are by the Melvin Funeral Home, visit our website at www.melvinfuneralhome.com for further information, or to leave a letter of condolence.
