Charles Arbie Anderson

Anderson, 86 BETHEL - Charles Arbie Anderson, passed away Monday, Mar. 23, 2015 in Annapolis, MD, after complications from heart surgery. Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Jo Ann Craft Anderson, whom he married in 1959. He is survived by his only daughter, Deborah Anderson Porter, his brother, Bobby-Lee Anderson; his four loving grandchildren, Ridge Porter, Grant Porter, Addison Porter and Lily Porter. He will be missed by many loving relatives, close friends and his loyal dog and companion Peyton Manning, who was his buddy. Charles was the son of Arbie and Addie Anderson, grew up in Dawson, W.V., and was a veteran of the Korean War where he received a Purple Heart. After serving in the military Charles joined Jones and Laughlin Steel, in Cleveland, Ohio where he worked for over 30 years. Upon his retirement he moved to Bethel, Delaware with his dear wife Jo Jo, where they enjoyed their remaining years. Services will be held on Monday, Mar. 30th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Meadow Grove Baptist Church in Dawson, W.V. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Charles' name to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Online condolences may be made at www.johnmtaylorfuneralhome.com.
