The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce (CDCC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing economic growth and development in the Central Delaware region. The CDCC provides advocacy, resources, networking, and educational opportunities to its members and participants, further supporting the business community and fostering a prosperous economic environment. The CDCC offers a plethora of learning avenues for a multitude of professional interests.

This Thursday, from 8:30-10 a.m., the public is invited to attend our free business development workshop – Kent County Open for Business (KOB). This expo-style event will be held at Kent County Levy Court (555 Bay Road, Dover), in Room 220.

This free event serves as a wonderful education resource for the community and potential newcomers. Attending guests will have a wide variety of state agencies and organizations all in one place at one time, looking to assist and support their business endeavors in the capital of the First State. Whether you are interested in starting a business or expanding a business, KOB promises to be an educational experience. Walk-ins are welcome; registration encouraged, but not required.

The following week brings three additional opportunities for learning and growth. On Tuesday, March 12, the CDCC will hold their Professional Power-Up Online session via Zoom from noon-1 p.m. This month’s presentation will feature Heather Contant, Director of Government & Community Relations at Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation (DEMEC).

She will provide amazing insight into how residents can get involved in Legislative Affairs and the value of doing so. This will be an enlightening session that reminds attendees that your voice matters!

The following day, Wednesday, March 13, from 8-9 a.m., via Zoom, will bring Coffee Coaching. Get perked up by learning something new to start your day in the best way. In today’s digital age, cybersecurity should be a top priority for all. Log-on to this session to learn about “Cybersecurity for Business at any scale” from the professional Zachary Keyek, DevOps Cybersecurity Engineer for Techno Goober. Learn how to keep your data safe and secure and how incidents happen, while staying in the know about current real-world threats and trends.

Finally, Thursday, March 14, from noon-1:30 p.m., via zoom, log-on to for Member Orientation with CDCC Director of Membership, Jennifer Sutter. The Chamber wants to ensure that everyone stays current on all that is happening and is committed to ensuring that its members, both new and seasoned, are aware of new opportunities that come along and new services as they are added. Attendees receive step-by-step guidance to our website, how stay involved, and get the best return on their investment. With the CDCC, the more you know, the more you grow!
