Carolyn Lardizzone

DOVER - Carolyn "Teresa" Lardizzone, age 62, of Dover, died Nov. 27, 2010. Born in Atlanta, Ga., she moved to Dover, in 1983. Teresa had graduated from Wesley College where she had received an Associate's Degree in Para Legal Services. Active in community affairs, she had been a Past Senior Vice Commander of the DAVA Dept. of Del. and a Past Unit Commander of DAVA Unit#1. She had also been a long time member of the American Legion Aux. at the Walter L. Fox Post # 2 in Dover. Teresa enjoyed Crocheting and was accomplished in her Arts & Crafts winning several prizes at the Delaware State Fair. She had been a faithful member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Marydel, Md., and will be remembered as a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Paul V. Lardizzone of Dover; mother, Mary Louise Ledford of Atlanta, Ga.; one son, Charles Edward Flynn of Atlanta, Ga.; two grandchildren, Benjamin G. Flynn of Atlanta, Ga., and Sean M. Flynn of Clifton Park, N.Y. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m., Wednesday, in the Immaculate Conception Church in Marydel, Md. Interment will follow in the Garden of Honor at Sharon Hill Memorial Park, Dover. Donations in her memory can be made to the Helen Graham Cancer Center 4701 Ogletown - Stanton Rd., Suite 3400, Newark, De 19713-2055; or to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Hwy., Dover, De 19901.
