HARRINGTON - Carole S. Deale, formerly of Baltimore, MD, passed away peacefully on Sun., September 27, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. Carole was born in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late James and Edna (Inscoe) Self. She was a medical secretary, working for American Radiology in Baltimore, MD for over 35 years before having to leave the practice after becoming ill. She was an active member of the 2nd and 4th Baptist Church in Baltimore, MD before her stroke 9 years ago. Carole enjoyed traveling and was a devout cat lover, having many she cared for throughout her life. Most important to Carole and the main focus of her life was her family, especially her daughter Rebekah, whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, Carole was preceded in death by a nephew Bruce Self. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert E. Deale; her daughter, Rebekah Proudfoot and her husband, Hunter; her granddaughter, Makayla Proudfoot; one brother, James Self and his wife, Charlotte; three nieces, Mary Chvostal and her husband, Joseph, Joyce Connor and her husband, Pat and Ann Cegelski and her husband, Ricky; and three nephews, Harry Sult, Jimmy Self and his wife, Carol and Jeff Self and his wife, Ann. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fri., October 2, 2015 at the McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce Street, Harrington, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
