FREDERICA - Carole Millicent Ward passed away, Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016 at Kent General Hospital. Mrs. Ward was born Sept. 21, 1937 in Wilkes Barrie, Pa., to the late Harold West and Agnes Kera West. She worked for the Applied Physics Laboratory as an executive secretary for 30 years retiring in 1992. Mrs. Ward enjoyed computer games, reading, watching TV and playing board games with her husband. Mrs. Ward is survived by her husband of 23 years, Franklin Ward, of Frederica; daughter, Kathy L. Hunter, of Alderson, W.Va.; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild; and her beloved Cocker Spaniel, Charlie. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m., Oct. 6, 2016 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior.
