Carol June Smith Raube, 66 DOVER - Carol June Smith Raube, of Burkesville, KY, formerly of Dover, went home to be with the Lord on June 30, 2008, with her family at her side. She was 66. She was born August 8, 1942 in Cumberland County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Everett and Fonzie Hunt Smith. Carol, lovingly known as "Mom Raube" and/or "Memom", is best remembered for her unwavering faith in God and her love and devotion to her family. She retired from The Lerning Center in Dover where she nurtured and cared for many preschool children. She was a devoted member of The Pentecostals of Dover for many years and after moving back to Cumberland County, Kentucky was a faithful member of Living Word Ministries of Burkesville, KY. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four infant sisters and one infant brother. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Charles Daniel "Dan" Raube; daughters and sons in law Tammy and Anthony Trout; Terri and Rex Bell; Chris and Jeff Tricarico; Cheryl and Jeff Hamm and Tricia and Bart Dyer and one son; Charles Daniel "Danny" Raube, Jr.; two sisters Linda Janis Culbertson of Ruckersville, VA and Kathy Mosby of Marrowbone, KY; one brother Richard Smith of Burkesville, KY, and twelve grandchildren. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, at The Pentecostals of Dover sanctuary on West Denneys Road. Her home going celebration will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 3 at The Pentecostals of Dover sanctuary on West Denneys Road. The officiating pastors will be Pastor Wayne Trout, Pastor Anthony Trout, Pastor Ben Quintana, and Pastor Gary Stommel. Burial will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, 14 Pennsylvania Plaza, Suite 1400, New York, NY 10122 or Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Hwy., Dover, De 19901. Arrangements are by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.
