Carol Elizabeth Larson, 73

VIOLA - Carol Elizabeth Larsen of Viola died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 73.

Mrs. Larsen was born June 6, 1933, in Brockton, Mass., daughter of the late Stanley H. and Blanche (Farrar) Rhodes.

She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and being in her flower and vegetable garden. She also liked sewing doll clothes for her grandchildren.

She loved her two cats, Tracy and Tom.

Mrs. Larsen was a member of the Southern Historical Vintage Car Club of Delaware Inc., Milford.

She was proud of her Model T and Model A cars, and very fond of her 1951 Chevy Deluxe.

Mrs. Larsen loved being with her family and friends for get-togethers.

She is survived by her husband of almost 22 years, Alfred H. Larsen of Viola; a son, Anthony Apice Jr. of Woodbridge, NJ.; three daughters, Cheryl Correia and her husband Richard of Jackson, N.J., Deborah Staplekamp and her husband Thomas of Wilmington, and Annette Pegis and her husband Gabe of Cincinnati; a sister, Charlotte DeYoung and her husband Paul of East Bridgewater, Mass.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, where friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, Sandtown.
