MILLSBORO - Carey D. Maddox, passed away on Jan. 23, 2009, in Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md. She was 53. Carey was a maintenance mechanic for Allen's Poultry. He loved car shows, basketball, and bowling. He owned a trophy winning truck. His favorite saying was "you aint got to go home, but you got to get outta here." He is preceded in death by his parents, Forewell and Ruth King Maddox; his wife, Shirley Maddox in 2005; and a brother, Forewell Chuck Maddox Jr. He is survived by his children, John Edward Belfield Sr. of Millsboro, Vickie Belfield of Portland, Tenn., Kristen Brown of Crisfield, Md., Christine Maddox of Crisfield, Md.; brothers, Donald Maddox and wife Terri of Salisbury, Md, Darnell Maddox and wife Antoinette of Marion Md.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; a host of friends relatives and special nephew, Donald. Services will be held noon Saturday at St. Johns 2nd Baptist Church Mt. Joy near Millsboro, friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon at the church. Pastor Annie Jane Custis will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements by Watson Funeral Home 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro.
