BEAR - C. Kevin Gruwell passed away peacefully at Seasons Hospice at Wilmington Hospital on Thursday, January 28, 2021.
Kevin was born in Dover, Del. to the late Charles 'Hoy' and Peggy (Wolter) Gruwell. He owned and managed his own rental property in Felton with his wife, Pam. He was a life long member of Reformation Lutheran Church in Milford where he enjoyed attending services with his family. Kevin loved collecting replicas of classic cars, Hummels, and any antique furniture that he could fit in his home. More importantly he loved to call his beloved daughter, Marie, to find out when they could take their next adventure to find the perfect piece to add to his collection. Kevin always seemed to have thought out the perfect spot for any purchase before it was made. He also loved spending holidays with his family, especially Christmas, where he loved to bring the season alive, for his family, with his beautiful displays.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his aunts and uncles, especially Eva and Bill Farlow.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pam Gruwell; daughter, Eva "Marie" Sims and her husband Joe; cousins, Pat and Maurice Little and Debbie and Steve Obrien; five nieces; three great nephews; one great niece; and one great–great niece.
Funeral services will be private with an interment to follow at St. Johnstown Cemetery in Greenwood. A memorial will be held at a later date at Reformation Lutheran Church in Milford.
In lieu of flowers donations in Kevin's memory can be made to: Reformation Lutheran Church, 613 Lakeview Ave., Milford, DE 19963 or: Brandywine Valley SPCA, 600 S. Street, New Castle, DE 19702.
Arrangements in care of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Felton.
