Bruce B. Marker, 69

LINCOLN - Bruce B. Marker of Lincoln, formerly of Dallastown, Pa., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, at home. He was 69.

Bruce was born in Philadelphia, son of the late Charles W. and Bertha Bauer Marker. He grew up in New Jersey.

He worked for 35 years as an over-the-road salesman in the building supply industry.

After retirement, he and his wife moved to Lincoln.

Bruce was an avid baseball card collector, enjoyed crabbing - whether having good luck or bad - and he always enjoyed working on a jigsaw puzzle.

Bruce also always loved helping others.

He attended Lincoln United Methodist Church.

Bruce also served as vice president of the Meadows of Cubbage Pond Homeowners Association.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 39 years, Donna (Howard) Marker; two daughters, Stacy Ruble of Richmond, Va. and Dawn Marker of Clearwater, Fla.; and a sister, Carol Conover of Long Island, N.Y.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the Lincoln U.M. Church, 8641 Second Street, Lincoln, where friends may call after noon.

Pastor Larrie Deering and Pastor Michael Headley will officiate.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Interchurch Medical Assistance, Bertha B. Marker Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 429, New Windsor, MD 21776 (an organization that his mother founded); or Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary.
