Bruce B. Cole, 57
DOVER, DE - Bruce B. Cole passed away on August 11, 2022.
Mr. Cole was born on December 4, 1964 to the late Richard and Doris (Bolan) Cole in Dover, Delaware.
Bruce graduated from Dover High School in 1983. He continued his education and graduated from Wesley College with a degree in Environmental Science. He was employed by DNREC for 33 years, just recently retiring from Delaware Division of Fish and Wildlife.
Bruce was an avid outdoorsman from his childhood to his passing. He always enjoyed fishing, the hunt, and camaraderie with his many fishing and hunting buddies. Bruce was a member of several competitive bass fishing clubs and enjoyed crabbing as well as predator hunting. The mountains of West Virginia quickly became his happy place, and he spent two weeks there every spring, turkey hunting. The only thing he loved more were his three daughters. Hearing their giggles around the house, even as adults, brought on a smile and a sense of great pride. Though he appeared rough on the outside, those closest to him knew and loved his humorous and tender nature.
Despite his challenges with MS, he continued to live his life to the fullest. He was an amazing husband, father, and friend.
In addition to his parents; Mr. Cole was preceded in death by his sister, Donna (Cole) Warren.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Debra (Letts) Cole; daughters, Shelby, Sage, and Sarah Cole; siblings, Rick Cole and Dayle (Cole) Bennett; and brother-in-law, John Warren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Torbert Funeral Chapels South, 1145 E. Lebanon Rd. (Rt10) in Dover.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions be sent to Delaware Wildlands at https://dewildlands.org/make-a-contribution/
