DOVER - Brenda Lee "Kinnamon" Rawley passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Rawley was born the daughter of Clarence and Doris "Graham" Kinnamon. Brenda graduated from Dover High School with honors in 1980. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Delaware in 1984. Mrs. Rawley worked at multiple medical facilities and also as a home healthcare nurse. She devoted her life to caring for others and enjoyed time spent with her patients.
Brenda had a large collection of Noah's Ark memorabilia and loved to collect monkeys as well. Brenda loved spending quality time with her nieces and nephews, writing poems, having picnics, playing the piano and loved animals of all kinds but had a special bond with her dog Buster. She was a member of the Hartly United Methodist Church and also attended bible studies at the Healing Word Sanctuary.
In addition to both parents, Mrs. Rawley is survived by her loving husband of seven years, Edward A. Rawley Sr.; son, Andrew (Jessy) Rawley of Marydel; son, Edward Rawley Jr. of Smyrna; two grandchildren, Mason and Kayleigh Rawley; siblings, Deanna Jackson (Gordon) of Hartly, Luke Kinnamon of Hartly, Jeffrey Kinnamon (Susan) of Dover and Kelli Ruff (Bruce) of Barclay, Md.; nieces and nephews, Kayla Toulson, Allison and Jason Kinnamon, Nikki Jackson, Aaron and Paige Ruff. The family would like to send a special thank you to Heather Speight from Delaware Hospice for her excellent care.
There will be a celebration of life service 4 p.m., Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Hartly United Methodist Church, 85 Main St. Hartly DE 19901. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Delaware Hospice Kent County, 911 S. Dupont Hwy., Dover DE 19901.
